Kylendel, a dusk elf, went on a raiding party during which he fell in love with a human-elf named Gabrial. He was unwilling to harm her, so he forsook his peoples evil ways. Kylendel manages to escape the underground city of Faneadar with Gabrial with them two large red crystals. Unknown to them, one of the crystals is the Dragon Stone, a magical gem that summons dragons. After their escape Kylendel and Gabrial are wed and move into the forest. At the festival honoring the Lord High Wizard Aldannar a demon named Kalad stole the Dragon Stone. Dragons soon started ravaging the countryside. Kylendel and Gabrial join forces with Aldannar and Zesstra to find and retrieve the Dragon Stone, at any cost.
